Introduction to the cruise

MV Mahabaahu cruise ship was built in Calcutta (Kolkata) India and launched in 2011. This is among the newest, largest and most luxurious river cruise ships in India. The riverboat is sailing along Brahmaputra River since January 2011. The cruise starts from the holy Mansarovar Lake, situated in the shadows of Mount Kailash in Tibet. The Brahmaputra is the world's 3rd greatest river, called variously - Tsangpo (in Tibet), Siang (in Arunachal Pradesh), Padma (in Bangladesh) and Brahmaputra (in Assam India).
