Introduction to the cruise

The ferry Vladimir Nazor was built in 1986 in the Kraljevica Shipyard. It was built for the needs of the DINA Petrokemija factory, and it was supposed to transport railway wagons. Not long after, the project failed, so the shipyard reaches an agreement with Jadrolinija. Rails are removed and the ferry is adapted for passengers and vehicles. This ferry is known for being, along with the Bartol Kašić ferry, the only ferry in the Split area that was damaged in the attack of the Yugoslav Navy on Split in November 1991. The ferry was shot at, and two crew members were killed: Dinko Maras and Jure Kalpic. Several other crew members were injured.
