Introduction to the cruise

Loth Loriën is a modern three-masted ketch with a length of 48 meters. Loth Loriën can accommodate up to 90 passengers. For weekends and long cruises, our boat can accommodate up to 36 passengers. The fully equipped kitchen allows the preparation of delicious meals. The salon can accommodate up to 40 guests. Loth Loriën looks back on an eventful history. She was built in 1907 in the Norwegian town of Bergen and originally sailed as a herring schooner. In 1989, Jaap van der Rest acquired this reliable workboat from the rugged north of Europe. It was not until 1992 that he converted her into a ketch with modern rigging and provided her with a luxurious interior. In the winter of 2001/2002, the boat was again modernized and refitted: in the 2002 season she will go to sea as a three-masted schooner. In 2009, the boat will be converted into the impressive Barkentin. With her updated paint and new rigging, she will be the highlight of a sea trip.
