Introduction to the cruise

River Ships Nile Cruises – General InformationThe 1AVista ships on the Nile offer a high level of comfort and comply with current international safety regulations. The Nile ships are personally selected by us. We work exclusively with renowned shipping companies and only take on ships in the comfort class (national category: 5 stars) such as MS Cleopatra, MS Stephanie or MS Dolphin. The ships are well equipped, have 4 to 5 decks and a large sun deck with a small pool. The friendly, courteous Egyptian service staff will help you feel comfortable on board. Welcome to the Nile! The ships and cabins are allocated on site.Onboard equipmentLarge sun deck, partially covered, with comfortable garden furniture and loungers, as well as a small pool. Restaurant with space for all passengers. There is also a salon, lounge, bar, reception with reception desk, souvenir shop and laundry service. All ships are fully air-conditioned.Life on board and entertainmentCozy, relaxed holiday atmosphere, casual clothing. The language on board is German, and groups of other nationalities can also be on board in addition to German guests. The on-board currency is the Egyptian pound (Euros are accepted). In the salon there are dance evenings, folklore performances and lectures. You will be looked after by an experienced German-speaking tour guide.Your cabinAll passenger cabins are outside and very spacious, between 14-18 m² depending on the ship. On the lower deck (main deck/Nile deck) there are smaller windows/portholes, cabins on the middle and upper decks have panoramic windows or French balconies. The cabins are equipped with shower/toilet, TV, adjustable air conditioning, music channel, ship's telephone, refrigerator/minibar. The cabin numbers are only assigned on site.No fear of additional costsAll fees, taxes and charges are included in the program, as are the services listed. The excursions with German-speaking guides and entrance fees can be booked as a package or individually. In Egypt, as in oriental countries, it is a matter of honor to give "baksheesh" (tips). This applies to every service used. So that you don't have to worry, the tour guide collects an amount of €5 per person/day at the start of the cruise and uses it to pay all tips for ship personnel (both in the service and in the engine room), bus drivers, porters, temple guards, carriage drivers, boat drivers, etc. according to a set distribution key. Over the years, this tipping policy has proven very successful; there is no obligation to pay.Excursions, sightseeing, shore excursionsExcursions on our Nile cruises are optional and are organized and carried out by the ship's management. All tours include sightseeing with entrance fees and a German-speaking guide. We have put together the most important sightseeing tours in the excursion package. Registration can be made when booking the trip if desired, and payment is made exclusively on the ship. Additional tours can be arranged depending on the trip. For combined trips with a Nile cruise and a bus tour, many excursions and sightseeing during the tour are included in the tour price, while sightseeing on the ship's trip is optional (see program).Safety, health, medical careAll ships are regularly inspected and approved by Egyptian and international classification offices (e.g. Lloyds London). Multi-phase water treatment systems (sand filters, carbon filters, chlorine supply, UV irradiation), disposal on land. A doctor comes on board if required.
