Introduction to the cruise

MS Serenade 1 is the new addition to Feenstra Rhine Line in 2024. With luxurious new furniture, beautiful artwork and stylish design accents. The cabins are exceptionally spacious by river cruise standards. We would like to introduce you to the trips this beautiful ship has to offer in the coming season.
On the Upper Deck you will find the spacious lounge which includes a bar and dance floor. At the large reading table in the library you can converse with eachother or quietly read a book. In the elegant restaurant located on the Middle Deck, the crew serves the chef’s culinary delights. The invigorating sauna with fitness equipment is located at the back of the Middle Deck. The sundeck is the place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. There are plenty of chairs, some of which are loungers, and plenty of space to sit in the shade or the sun.

All decks are accessible via several stairs. You can also reach the Upper Deck and the Middle Deck by means of a lift. The cabins on the Lower Deck are only accessible from the Middle Deck by stairs. There are 2 stairs to the sun deck, one of which is equipped with a stair lift.

All of the ship’s 68 double cabins are generously furnished with two single beds that can be separated on request. All cabins are equipped with a desk, telephone, television, hairdryer, safe, mini-bar, self-adjustable air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. Of course there is plenty of cupboard space. In the spacious bathroom you will find a shower, toilet, a sink and, exceptionally for a river cruise ship, even a bath! Each cabin offers 16 m2 of space and the cabins on the Upper and Middle Decks are equipped with so-called “French balconies”. Unlike the accommodation above, the cabins on the Lower Deck do not have a French balcony, but a slightly higher window that cannot be opened. The two suites located at the rear of the Upper Deck, at 20 m2, are the most spacious cabins on board. The sliding doors give access to your own balcony on the aft deck of the ship, a wonderful place to relax. The wide and unobstructed view and the propeller water splashing upwards during the voyage give you the idea that the ship is all yours. However, you must accept the vibrations and noise of the ship’s engines. As soon as the ship is moored, the peace and quiet returns to your personal accommodation.

The day starts with an extensive breakfast buffet. At lunch you can choose from several hot and cold dishes from the buffet. With the 4-course dinner, which is served at the table, you can choose from various starters, main courses and desserts. We book refreshments, excursions and souvenirs on board using your cabin number, so that you can pay for everything in one go at the end of the trip in cash, debit card or credit card.

The crew on board the ships consists of different nationalities. There is always a Dutch-speaking hotel manager and/or cruise director present and we try to ensure that there is always a Dutch-speaking crew member nearby who can speak to you in Dutch.
Free WiFi in the lounge, bar and hall (limited reception) in all countries.
Owner of the m.p.s. Serenade 1 is Starling Fleet AG – Basel.
