Midnight Sun has a strong environmental identity and a modern design. The ship's sun deck and hot tub are located on deck 9. Significant features of Midnight Sun include the large panoramic lounge on two levels above the bow. Midnight Sun is a Class 1C ice-resistant ship equipped with advanced technology, making it ideally suited for expedition cruises to Antarctica. The ship began taking explorers to Patagonia and Antarctica in 2016
